How do I add Vagaro booking to Instagram?
Salons, spas and solo providers who book through Vagaro2 min readSeptember 2026
The short answer
Add Instagram's Book Now button and choose Vagaro as the partner. In the Instagram app, open your profile, tap Edit profile, find the action buttons under Public business information, pick Vagaro and log in. Vagaro says the integration is free and available to all Vagaro businesses, and that you need an Instagram business account. For your bio, make a Link type booking widget in Vagaro and paste that in.
What Instagram says about the button
Book Now is one of Instagram’s action buttons, which sit on your profile. Instagram’s help center, read in September 2026, says:
- Action buttons are for business and creator accounts.
- Vagaro is on its list of Book now partners.
- You need an existing account with the partner.
- One action button can be displayed on a profile at a time.
- The feature is being introduced gradually and may not be available to you yet.
Vagaro’s help center says its Instagram integration is free, is available to all Vagaro businesses, and needs an Instagram business account.
Adding the button
Instagram’s steps and Vagaro’s agree, with one difference in wording. Instagram’s current page puts the setting under Action buttons. Vagaro’s article, updated about six months before I read it, calls it Contact options, then Add an action button.
- Open the Instagram app, go to your profile and tap Edit profile.
- Under Public business information, tap Action buttons.
- Choose Book now, then Vagaro.
- Log in to Vagaro. Vagaro says you may be asked for a security code.
- If you have more than one location, pick the one to connect and continue.
- On the Facebook access screen, select Authorize, then continue as yourself on the next two screens.
- Vagaro says a Connect Website screen appears when the connection works, and your profile then shows the Book Now button.
Vagaro says bookings that come through Instagram show in its Source report.
A booking link for your bio
Vagaro’s booking widget has a Link type, which Vagaro suggests for social media. You make it under Settings, then Booking Widget, on the web, a tablet or Pay Desk. Choose Link as the Widget Type, save, and copy the link.
When you make the widget you can pick one service provider from the employee list, so a stylist can have a link that books with them. Vagaro says a widget’s link is static. If you change the widget, you get a new link, and the one in your bio has to be replaced.
What the button reaches
The button and the bio link are for people who are already looking at your profile. Someone searching Google for a service hasn’t seen it yet. Is Instagram enough? covers that side, and adding Vagaro to Squarespace covers the Book buttons on a site of your own.
The questions this usually leads to
Same rule as above: short answers, no hedging. If yours isn't here, just ask.
Is the Vagaro Instagram integration free?
Vagaro's help center calls it a free integration and says it's available to all Vagaro businesses. You need an Instagram business account to use it.
Why don't I see Vagaro in Instagram's action buttons?
Instagram says action buttons are for business and creator accounts, that you need an existing account with the partner, and that the feature is being introduced gradually and may not be available to everyone yet. Vagaro is on Instagram's list of Book now partners, so check the account type first.
Can I track bookings that come from Instagram?
Vagaro says you can see the number of customers who booked through Instagram in its Source report.
Can I have the Book Now button and a booking link in my bio?
Yes, they're separate. Instagram shows one action button at a time, and the link in your bio is part of your profile. If you have a website, the button can take the bookings while the bio link goes to your site.
