Web design and local SEO
in San Diego

This is where Bloom Street started, and it's where nearly all of my work still is. Every studio on this page is a San Diego small business, and every number under them came out of Google Search Console rather than out of my head.

Google Search Console, August 2026. Position is the monthly average weighted by how often each search was actually made, so one lucky result can't flatter it. 7 page-one placements naming the area, the best of them at #1.0.

Local is a different job to SEO

Ranking a national brand is a content and authority problem. Ranking a treatment room in North Park is mostly a tidiness problem. It comes down to whether Google has your address written the same way everywhere it shows up, whether your Business Profile is finished, whether your hours are current, and whether your categories match what people actually search.

It's boring, and it's most of the game. It's also where I find the biggest gaps, because it's the half that gets skipped when a site is built to look good and nothing else.

The part that's genuinely local is knowing the ground. Which neighborhood people put after the treatment, whether a search means somebody researching or somebody with a card in their hand, and who is already sitting in the spot you want. I've been working in this county long enough to have opinions about that, and where I don't have them, I go and get the data before I start.

What it costs

Three flat prices, starting at $350 for the search work on a site you already like, up to $1,000 for a new site and the whole local presence underneath it. No retainer, nothing auto-renews, and the monthly performance report carries on afterwards either way.
