How do I add Acuity Scheduling to my Squarespace site?

Studio owners who book through Acuity Scheduling and have a Squarespace site3 min readSeptember 2026

The short answer

Use Squarespace's Scheduling block. Edit a page, click Add block, choose Scheduling, then pick the scheduler to show. If your Acuity account is separate from your Squarespace site, choose Custom Link and paste in your scheduling page link from Acuity. You can also link a Squarespace button to your scheduler, or to one appointment type. Acuity is its own subscription, separate from your website plan.

What you need

An Acuity subscription. Acuity is Squarespace’s own booking tool, and Squarespace’s help center describes it as a separate service with its own subscription. It also says Acuity’s legacy free plan doesn’t support embedded schedulers.

The steps here are from Squarespace’s and Acuity’s help centers, which I read in September 2026.

1. Embed the scheduler with a Scheduling block

If your Acuity subscription is attached to your Squarespace site:

  1. Edit a page.
  2. Hover over the section and click Add block, then Scheduling.
  3. Click the pencil icon on the block.
  4. From the drop-down menu, choose the scheduler to show. It can be your general scheduler, or one for a specific calendar, appointment type or category.
  5. Click Save.

If your Acuity account is separate from your site, get the link first. In Acuity, click Scheduling Page, then Link, and copy the link under General Scheduling Page. The Direct Links & Embedding section has links for a specific calendar, appointment type or category.

Then add a Scheduling block the same way, choose Custom Link from the drop-down menu, paste the link into the Custom Scheduling Page Link field and click Save.

Squarespace says scheduling blocks are separate from Commerce, so bookings aren’t subject to Squarespace’s Commerce transaction fees.

Acuity’s own instruction for Squarespace sites is a button block, linked to your scheduling page or to a direct link.

To copy a direct link to one appointment type, Acuity’s steps are:

  1. Open the Scheduling Page panel, then click Link.
  2. In the Direct links & embedding section, select an appointment type from the drop-down menu.
  3. Click the Direct Link tab, then Copy.

Acuity says this option won’t appear if you only have one appointment type and calendar.

On Squarespace, edit the page, hover over the section and click Add block, then Button. Click the pencil icon, type the button’s words in the Text field, then attach a link and paste the Acuity link under URL. A link on a button works on every Squarespace plan.

3. A scheduler for each treatment page

Both routes can point at one appointment type. On a page about one treatment, I’d set the Scheduling block to that appointment type, or put that appointment type’s direct link on the Book button. A client who’s read about dermaplaning then lands on dermaplaning.

If you haven’t built those pages, SEO for estheticians covers why they’re worth having.

The booking bar

Acuity also offers a booking bar, which is a bar with a booking button across the top of your pages. The code is in Acuity under Scheduling Page, Link, in the Direct links & embedding section, on the Booking bar tab.

For Squarespace sites, Acuity says to paste it into the footer section of Code Injection. Squarespace offers Code Injection on its Core, Plus and Advanced plans. Acuity’s article still names the older Business and Commerce plans.

Colors

Squarespace says that when your Acuity subscription is attached to a version 7.1 site, the block takes on the color theme of the section it’s in. To change it on its own, open the block editor, click Design, and switch on Use website styles. With a standalone Acuity account, you set the scheduler’s colors in Acuity.

Instagram and Google

Instagram’s help center lists Acuity Scheduling among its Book now partners, so the same account can sit behind a Book Now button on your profile. For Google, adding a booking link to your Google Business Profile has Google’s steps.

Squarespace for salons and estheticians covers what else a Squarespace site needs for search. I build on Squarespace. If you’d rather have the site built with booking wired in, that’s The Full Bloom, $1,000, once, and the audit on the home page is free.

Follow-ups

The questions this usually leads to

Same rule as above: short answers, no hedging. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Is Acuity Scheduling included with Squarespace?

No. Squarespace's help center describes Acuity as a separate service with its own subscription. The Scheduling block is part of Squarespace, and it needs an Acuity subscription to show anything. Squarespace also says Acuity's legacy free plan doesn't support embedded schedulers.

Can I embed an Acuity account that isn't connected to my Squarespace site?

Yes. In Acuity, click Scheduling Page, then Link, and copy your scheduling page link. In Squarespace, add a Scheduling block, choose Custom Link from the drop-down menu, paste the link into the Custom Scheduling Page Link field and save.

Can each service page have its own scheduler?

Yes. The Scheduling block can show your general scheduler or one for a specific calendar, appointment type or category. Acuity also gives each appointment type a direct link, which you can put on a button. Acuity says the direct link option doesn't appear if you only have one appointment type and calendar.

Can I remove Powered by Acuity Scheduling from the block?

Squarespace says you can on Acuity's Premium or Powerhouse plan. In Acuity, click Scheduling Page, then Settings, select the option to hide Powered By Acuity Scheduling on the client's scheduling page, and save.
