How do I add Fresha to Instagram?

Salons, spas and solo providers who book through Fresha3 min readSeptember 2026

The short answer

There are two ways. Make a booking link in Fresha's Link builder and put it in your Instagram bio. Or turn on Fresha's Facebook and Instagram bookings add-on, under Add-ons, which connects through your Facebook account and adds a Book now button to both. Fresha says the add-on is free, and that it needs your profile listed on the Fresha marketplace and a Meta business account.

Fresha makes booking links in its Link builder. On a computer, go to Online booking, then Link builder, choose a link type and click Create link. In the mobile app it’s under More, then Online booking, then the Link builder tab. Fresha says the links are for your website, social media posts and messages to clients, and that clients who book through them won’t incur its New client fee.

Paste the link into your Instagram bio. If you want the link to show one service or one team member, adding Fresha to your website has the options.

The Book now button

This is one of Instagram’s action buttons, which sit on your profile. Instagram’s help center, read in September 2026, says:

  • Action buttons are for business and creator accounts.
  • Fresha is on its list of Book now partners.
  • You need an existing account with the partner.
  • One action button can be displayed on a profile at a time.
  • The feature is being introduced gradually and may not be available to you yet.

Fresha’s setup is an add-on that covers Facebook and Instagram together. I read its help article in September 2026. Before you start, Fresha says you need your business listed on the Fresha marketplace and a Meta business account. It also says your Facebook and Instagram accounts have to be business accounts.

On a computer:

  1. From the main menu on the left, go to Add-ons.
  2. Under Facebook and Instagram bookings, click View.
  3. Click Start now, then, after reviewing the requirements, click Enable in the top right.
  4. You’re sent to Facebook. Log in or choose the account to connect, and approve the connection between Fresha and your Facebook business account.
  5. On the Confirm settings page, select the ad account associated with your page and click Continue.
  6. Click Next to allow the business extension, and Done when you see the confirmation.

In the mobile app, tap More, the grid icon, then Add ons, then View under Facebook and Instagram bookings, and the steps are the same. Fresha’s mobile steps include one more for Instagram: when it asks for your Instagram business account, click Add Profile and connect it.

Fresha points you at Facebook’s and Instagram’s own help pages for support with the buttons themselves, and says the relevant Facebook access is needed to add or remove one.

Where the bookings show up

Fresha says each online booking records the channel the client used. Open the Appointments tab and filter the Channel column for Facebook or Instagram. The Client Insights report shows booking sources across the business.

If Fresha isn’t listed as a partner

When you go to add the button and Fresha doesn’t appear as a partner, Fresha’s article says you may have missed a step, and lists what to check:

  • Your Instagram or Facebook account is set as a business account.
  • Your Fresha marketplace profile is published and online booking is enabled.
  • Try linking through Facebook Business Suite instead of directly in Instagram.
  • Both the Facebook and Instagram apps are on their latest versions.

Taking it off

In Fresha, go to Add-ons, then under Facebook and Instagram bookings click Actions, then Disable, then Disable now. In the app, it’s More, Add ons, then the same Actions button.

Fresha says the buttons don’t disappear from your pages on their own. After disabling the add-on, go to your Facebook and Instagram pages, or Meta Business Suite, and remove the button by hand. A booking button on your website isn’t affected.

What the button reaches

The button and the bio link are for people already looking at your profile. Someone searching Google for a treatment hasn’t seen it yet. Is Instagram enough? covers that side, and booking page or website? covers whether a site of your own is worth it yet.

Follow-ups

The questions this usually leads to

Same rule as above: short answers, no hedging. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Is Fresha an Instagram booking partner?

Yes. Instagram's help center lists Fresha among its Book now partners, along with Booksy, Vagaro, GlossGenius, StyleSeat, Acuity Scheduling and Appointments by Square. Instagram says you need an existing account with a partner before you can select it.

Is Fresha's Instagram Book now button free?

Fresha says its integration with Meta lets you add Book now buttons to your social media pages at no cost. Its New client fee is separate. Fresha says that fee only applies when a client first discovers your business on the Fresha marketplace, and that no fee is charged for a client who finds you through another channel, such as your website or social media.

Why can't I find Fresha as a partner on Instagram?

Fresha lists four things to check. Your Instagram or Facebook account is a business account. Your Fresha marketplace profile is published and online booking is enabled. Try connecting through Facebook Business Suite instead of directly in Instagram. And update both the Facebook and Instagram apps.

Can I have the Book now button and a link in my bio?

Yes, they're separate. The button is one of Instagram's action buttons, and Instagram shows one of those at a time. The link in your bio is part of your profile. If you have a website, the button can take the bookings while the bio link goes to your site.
