How do I add GlossGenius to Instagram?

The bio link

Your booking address is in the GlossGenius mobile app under Settings, Website, Share Website. GlossGenius’s own advice is to add it to your Instagram bio.

If you have a team, GlossGenius makes a direct link for each team member. It opens your booking site filtered to that person’s services and availability, so it suits a stylist’s own Instagram. In the app it’s under Settings, Manage your staff, Staff & permissions, the team member, Personal & Contact Info, then Direct Booking Link. Team members can copy their own under Settings, Personal information, Direct booking link.

The Book Now button

This is one of Instagram’s action buttons, which sit on your profile. Instagram’s help center, read in September 2026, says:

• Action buttons are for business and creator accounts.
• GlossGenius is on its list of Book now partners.
• You need an existing account with the partner.
• One action button can be displayed on a profile at a time.
• The feature is being introduced gradually and may not be available to you yet.

GlossGenius’s setup goes through Facebook:

1. Have a Facebook business page. GlossGenius says that if Facebook asks about online booking while you create it, choose Not Now.
2. Connect GlossGenius to Facebook. In the GlossGenius app, go to Settings, Booking Controls, Facebook/Instagram Booking, then Connect to Facebook, and follow the prompts.
3. Check your Instagram profile on a phone. GlossGenius says adding the button in one place should add it to the other automatically, and that the web browser version of Instagram doesn’t show book buttons.

If the button isn’t there

GlossGenius gives these steps for adding it from Instagram:

1. Open your Instagram profile and tap Edit Profile.
2. Tap Action Buttons, then Book Now, then GlossGenius.
3. Log in with your GlossGenius email and password, and tap Connect.
4. Confirm the Instagram business profile you’re connecting.
5. Choose whether Facebook gets the Book Now button too, then tap Continue.
6. Tap Done on the action button page, and Done again on Edit Profile.

If it still doesn’t show, GlossGenius lists three things to check:

• Your Instagram is a professional account.
• Display Contact Info is on, under Edit Profile, then Profile Display.
• Your Instagram and your Facebook are connected to each other.

If you have a team

GlossGenius says Instagram allows one Book Now button per business. On a shared Team account, one team member can have the button. The others can use the direct link in their bio.

Taking it off

On Instagram, go to Edit Profile, Action Buttons, Book Now, then Remove Book Now Button, and tap Done twice. To disconnect Facebook, go to Settings, Booking Controls, Facebook/Instagram Booking in the GlossGenius app, then Disconnect from Facebook.
